Clara (she/her) is a PhD student working with Professor Alessandro Vespignani in the MOBS Lab. She is broadly interested in how infectious diseases spread through networks, and she is currently working on a project examining disease outcomes for epidemic models with differing latent and infectious period distributions that spread on a metapopulation network. Prior to joining the Network Science Institute, Clara worked as a research fellow at the U.S. EPA doing computational toxicology modeling research. She holds a B.S. in Applied Mathematics and Quantitative Biology from UNC Chapel Hill.
