lab website

Dana is a third year PhD student in Interdisciplinary Design and Media working with Dr. Brooke Foucault Welles and Dr. Nabeel Gillani. She is interested in combining data visualization, systems design, and technology to explore our capacity for more transparent, intelligent, and equitable government. She has previously worked as a data scientist, product manager, technology startup founder, and local government activist. She now works as a product manager for a civic technology company called Civera while she pursues the experiential track of the CAMD PhD program. She received a bachelor's degree in computer science and cognitive science from Wellesley College, an MS in information design and data visualization from Northeastern CAMD, and a certificate in data, economics, and development policy from MITx. Through theory and practice, Dana is excited to enrich our collective toolset for enabling better, more transparent, and more responsive government.
